Dine in an oceanfront gazebo, at a hand-crafted stone table under the stars at the cliff's edge or reserve a private cave dinner, strewn with fresh bougainvillea petals and lit by candlelight. The food is an absolute joy, with one menu that changes daily, read out to you by your waiter and containing just a few options. A few starters and usually two main meals and a choice of desserts. Your typical dinner could be jamaican beef patty, curry conch, lobster, steaks, Jerk chicken, all freshly prepared and cooked to perfection.
Service is exemplary; extremely personal - staff know every guest by name and will go out of their way to accommodate requests.
The Caves is poised on the limestone cliffs of Negril's scenic West End, in the parish of Westmoreland, 80 minutes outside of Montego Bay on the north coast of Jamaica. The famous Rick's Cafe is a seven-minute walk away if you fancy popping round to watch some death-defying diving over a drink.

Various island activities are available, from kayaking and snorkeling to bicycling and nature tours, all arranged with a smile by The Caves' obliging staff. Guests are left to their own choices and the pace is as slow as you want it to be.
If you are looking adventure in the water, the Caves has its own guide and cliff-diving expert to accompany you on a snorkeling expedition around and even through the natural caves. The snorkeling is really good with opportunities to see a wide vairty of sea-life such as squid, lion fish, rays, eels and maybe even dolphins. If you want to swim without the guide thats fine too. The water-sports locker is always open and you can help yourself to any gear (life vests, kayaks, snorkel gear, sunscreen, aloe gel) that you might need.
Off site activities such as parasailing, jet skiing and swimming with dolphins can be arranged through the hotel.
Access to the sea is predominantly via a series of characteristic jump spots, ranging from baby options just a few feet above the water to those more than 30 ft high. There are alternative entrances by ladder. The spots are often attached to one of the private lounging areas carved into the side of the cliffs, with umbrellas and views to die for.
There's a small saltwater pool and hot tub with similar gorgeous vistas, a great place to meet others at the pool to have a few drinks and watch the sunsets.
The Caves has a sauna and steam room and a small but excellent spa. The spa hut is open air with a patio and out-door shower right over the ocean. Rated as one of the Top Five Jamaican Spas by Ocean Magazine, The Caves' Aveda Amenity Spa offers a selection of treatments that promote the kind of healing that resonates long after your stay.
The in-house therapists will cater to your every need and spoil you with their trademark Jamaican brown sugar body scrub, that will leave your skin feeling as soft as a newborn's. This spa is a sanctuary that will relax you even before your treatment begins. You can arrange for a treatment in a shaded cabana, a candle-lit cave or outdoors under the replenishing island sun. Complimentary yoga classes are held twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
There is an indoor hot tub available at an extra charge for private bookings only from 5.30 until 9.30pm. The tub is huge with a large rain shower and comfortable padded bench with soft fluffy towels. You'll receive a fruit and cheese tray and anything you want to drink. The hot tub faces a large window where you can watch a beautiful sunset.
Evenings at The Caves are quiet and relaxed with no noisy entertainment. Those looking for nightlife easily walk to some lively party spots in Negril, where live music, dancing and a vibrant scene can be found most nights.
